The purposes for which we process personal data 

LaCAR MDx Technologies processes personal data with regard to the following purposes: 

a) To maintain customer relationships (including maintaining a direct relationship between LaCAR’s authorized network members, service partners, and related financial service providers, including for the performance of a contract and the pursuit of legitimate interests); 

b) To process and administer orders (including billing) to respond to your request and/or prepare or execute a contract;  

c) To provide customer service, handle complaints and requests, respond to your requests and execute contracts, or for legitimate interests;  

d) To proactively contact customers in the event of  any defects or malfunctions or to schedule service appointments, perform a contract, or for legitimate interests;  

e) To carry out or coordinate any recall actions, due to legitimate interests or legal obligations;  

f) To conduct market research to improve our operations, our brands, our services, and our products, and identify the wishes of customers, due to legitimate interests;  

g) To comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our rights;  

h) To improve the quality of the data by means of postal code address and control, because of our legitimate interests;  

i) To contact our customers and partners by phone or mailing to promote LaCAR MDx’s participation in any event or for the promotion of a (new) kit developed by LaCAR.  

Third parties involved in the treatment  

In some cases, LaCAR MDx Technologies may share personal data with third parties, which are "responsible treatment " independent. This may occur in the following events:  

a) with service partners of LaCAR MDx’s distribution network, for the performance of a contract or for the pursuit of legitimate interests; 

b) with third parties to whom we are legally obliged or authorized to provide data; 

c) third parties, if we suspect a violation of the rights of third parties, criminal offenses or abuses, if they have a legitimate interest, or if they are public authorities. It may also be authorities such as the police, the public prosecutor, etc.; 

d) with parties who assist LaCAR MDx Technologies in its services and are not sub-contractors of personal data (such as accountants and legal advisers) for the pursuit of its legitimate interests;  

e) with parties helping resolve specific issues related to the kit and the use of the latter on a particular device 

The communication of personal data to the third parties referred hereabove will take place only based on authorization by applicable laws and regulations.  

LaCAR MDx Technologies also uses third-party services that act as " subcontractors " (for example, hosting service providers, certain software providers, mobility service providers, or parties that organize or execute actions). With these service providers, LaCAR MDx Technologies is obliged to conclude a subcontracting agreement (RGPD agreement) which stipulates that they only process personal data in accordance with the instructions and under our control.  

Currently, we do not store personal data outside the European Union. If personal data were to be deliberately disclosed outside the European Union, we will take additional safeguards, such as the conclusion of a model EU contract.  

Our website may contain references and/or hyperlinks to one or more websites of third parties. LaCAR MDx Technologies is only responsible for how ZenTech SA processes any personal data. However, LaCAR MDx Technologies is not responsible for how any other third-party processes personal data. We recommend that you read the privacy statement of these websites to know and control how they treat your personal data.  

How long do we keep your data? 

LaCAR MDx Technologies will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your personal data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies. 

How do we store your data? 

LaCAR MDx Technologies securely stores your data on a secure platform. Those data will be deleted in accordance with the legal retention period. 

Data transfer 

Your information, including personal data, may be transferred to - and stored on - computers located outside your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction. 

If you are located outside of Belgium and choose to provide us with information, please note that we transfer data, including personal data, to Belgium and process it there. 

Your consent to this Privacy Policy, followed by your submission of such information, represents your agreement to such transfer. 

LaCAR MDx Technologies will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your personal data will take place to any organisation or country unless there are adequate controls in place, including the security of your data and other personal information.

LaCAR MDx Technologies keeps its privacy policy under regular review and places any updates on its web page (www.lacar-mdx.com). This privacy policy was last updated on the 19th July 2023.
