Press Release : LaCAR MDx Technologies gathers LATAM partners in Buenos Aires for a neonatal screening event

LaCAR MDx Technologies gathers its Latin American partners in Argentina for an event dedicated to neonatal fluorometric screening.
Buenos Aires, April 10, 2025 - LaCAR MDx Technologies held a major regional event this Thursday at the Hotel Abasto in Buenos Aires, bringing together its LATAM distributors, several end-customers and key opinion leaders (KOLs). The aim was to showcase the latest innovations in neonatal screening using fluorometry and to reaffirm LaCAR's commitment to improving access to high-quality early diagnosis across Latin America.
The first highlight of the day was the official presentation of the Neo-F-500 platform, specially transported for the occasion. This new solution, entirely dedicated to neonatal screening, combines performance, ease of use and reliability of results. The second focal point was the presentation of the new range of fluorometric products developed by LaCAR MDx Technologies, covering the most common hereditary metabolic pathologies, such as Phenylketonuria, Congenital Hypothyroidism, Galactosemia, Biotinidase Deficiency and Cystic Fibrosis.
Thanks to proven technology and formats optimized for laboratory needs, this solution enables greater standardization and easier interpretation of results, as well as saving precious time in the management of newborns.
LaCAR was represented on site by Axel Collard, Chief Commercial Officer, Maria Quiroga, Area Sales Manager LATAM, and Luc Voorn, Senior Application & Automation Specialist. Together, they led demonstration sessions, technical presentations and rich discussions with participants from all over the region.
"At LaCAR, we believe every child deserves the best opportunities from birth. Our presence in so many Latin American countries comes with a responsibility to provide solutions that are accessible, reliable, and tailored to local needs. This event is concrete proof of that," said Arnaud Allaer, CEO of LaCAR MDx Technologies.
"This meeting was an excellent opportunity to strengthen our ties with our partners, listen to their realities on the ground and work together to plan the next stages of our development in the region. I am proud to see the extent to which the commitment to neonatal screening is strong and shared," added Maria Quiroga, Area Sales Manager LATAM.
The event highlighted LaCAR's commitment to supporting its partners with turnkey solutions, including instruments, reagents, technical support and interpretation software, to ensure safe and effective neonatal diagnostics on a large scale.
The day ended with a cocktail party at the Belgian residence in Buenos Aires, celebrating innovation, international cooperation and a shared commitment to child health.
